A growing west Los Angeles law firm specializing in commercial real estate and business litigation seeks an experienced Trial Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in complex real estate and business litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage real estate and business litigation cases from inception through trial and appeal
- Handle a diverse caseload including contract disputes, property rights issues, commercial leases, zoning and land use matters, partnership disputes, and corporate litigation
- Develop and execute comprehensive trial strategies
- Conduct legal research
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Take and defend depositions
- Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation/arbitration
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on risk management and dispute resolution in real estate and business transactions
- Maintain current knowledge with changes in real estate and business laws
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably with a focus on real estate and business litigation
- Demonstrated success in handling real estate and business disputes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range $250-275k, commensurate with experience and specialization
